Do not forget it's National Heartworm Awareness Month!
Heartworms are a big issue, especially in St. Johns County. One of our top priorities is making our clients aware of the importance of preventative treatment for heartworms in cats. If you're an existing client, Dr. Paper has made you more than aware of her concerns and suggestions for preventative care. If you are new to us, feel free to ask us any questions you may have at your first visit to the clinic.
We have several resources available to our clients for further reading on heartworms, including the link listed below.
Preventative Maintenance is key. Is your cat on heartworm protection such as Revolution, Heartgard or Advantage Multi? All of these products are readily available through our drop-ship service. Click below to visit our online ordering system.
This is one of the many reasons we want to examine your cat at least once each year. In order to provide prescription medications such as these, we have to have seen your cat within the last year.
If you have any questions about heartworm prevention, feel free to message, email or call us!
